IMPACT Foundation Cambodia
IMPACT Cambodia stages health clinics in far-flung villages; organises surgical camps to reverse disabilities; and is improving national standards of care by training surgeons and healthworkers; as well as building new facilities, such as an ENT operating theatre at Chey Chumneas Hospital. Community projects include installing tubewells for safe water and improving sanitation; health education, and a thriving 1,000 Day Programme replicates IMPACT Philippines’ successful action.
The Lake Clinic (TLC) takes healthcare by boat to floating villages on the Tonlé Sap Lake. The team includes doctors, nurses, dentists and midwives. Health education focuses on nutrition, sanitation and maternity care. TLC’s floating vegetable gardens boost meagre diets.
