IMPACT India’s Lifeline Express hospital train travels across India taking medical care and surgery to underserved communities. The Community Health Initiative delivers healthcare, education, medical screening and treatment to rural Maharashtra.
The PNR Society, Bhavnagar: Prevents and treats sight loss and hearing impairment through treatment and surgery; and training teachers to identify disabilities. Together we are improving mother and child survival by training Traditional Birth Attendants and promoting immunisation. Rehabilitation of disabled people includes vocational support and micro-loans.
KEM Hospital, Pune: Nursery workers are trained to screen pre-schoolers for disabling conditions; treatment and surgery is provided to those in need. Home gardening combats rampant malnutrition. Girls in remote areas are vaccinated against rubella.
